Giovanni was born in Imperia in 1994 and is the fourth generation of Amoretti family oil producers.

He is committed and dedicated to carrying on the family business, responsible for marketing and production, as well as selecting oils and blends to maintain a high-quality final product. His focus on the organoleptic profile ensures the preservation of the original taste and aroma.

He has been an ONAOO taster for many years because he is passionate about his work. He believes that effective communication can elevate this fascinating product from a mere condiment to the central ingredient of our table.

Alberti Edoardo

Edoardo was born in Imperia in 1994; he graduated in Business Administration in Genoa and he furthered his studies with a full time master’s degree in “Sales and Retail Management” in the “24 Ore Business School” in Milan.

Since 2020 he has been living and working in Imperia and its rear valleys. The family business of the same name is based here, which produces and trades typical Ligurian and other products

He has been started his path as an olive oil taster in 2020, since 2021 he has been registered in the National Register of Technicians and Experts. In 2023 he obtained the qualification of Professional Taster of ONAOO.

Selvi Roberto

Roberto Selvi, catering professional since 2003, he defined himself as a Liquid Master: leitmotif of his job is the excellence in a liquid form! Mixologist and Bar Manager, wine connoisseur and maître, in 2019 he got passionate about the Extra-virgin’s world and in 2023 became a Professional Taster of ONAOO.

His mission is the one to promote the culture of EVOO through the catering sector.

Danielle Smith

Born in England, but she has lived in Italy for over 35 years. After obtaining a degree in history, she began working in tourism.

Her passion for olives started with the olive grove around her hotel on Lake Como. Later, due to a challenge with her husband, she decided to open an olive mill high in the mountains at 1816 meters in Livigno. From there, she began her adventure in the world of extra virgin olive oil with her company O’Liv.

Prior to establishing the company, he attended ONAOO’s technical course in 2020 to expand his knowledge. During the course, she developed a passion for oil tasting and qualified to join the national list of virgin and extra virgin olive oil technicians and experts in 2022. Following the two-year advanced training course, she became a professional olive oil taster in 2024.

She frequently attends ONAOO’s tasting sessions as she believes that training is essential for personal and professional growth as a taster.

Manuela Guatelli

Manuela was born in Genoa but spent her entire childhood in Imperia. Currently, she splits her time between Imperia, Shanghai, and Bangkok.

Manuela represents the fourth generation of can makers and is involved in the Guatelli Museum. The museum collects the Family Collection of Italian Olive Oil Cans, which includes over 6,000 pieces of olive oil cans and lithographic stones. This collection is an important testimony to the flourishing industry related to the oil trade that developed in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. In 2006, Manuela moved to Asia with her husband and four sons.

Despite the distance, Manuela has not forgotten her roots. She promotes the prestige of extra virgin olive oil and the history and flavors of Mediterranean cuisine beyond national borders by organizing Italian cooking classes, on-demand chefs, and catering. Her passion for extra virgin olive oil stems from her family, as her father dedicated his life to producing oil cans. Every week, my father would cross Europe to sell his cans. He would return home on weekends with fascinating stories and anecdotes about the oil industry.

His global view of the market allowed him to understand even the smallest nuances, which inspired me to pursue a career in this wonderful world. In 2024, I finally fulfilled my passion by attending the ONAOO course and becoming a Professional Taster. Manuela collaborates with several Italian associations abroad to promote the history, culture, and art of extra virgin olive oil tasting worldwide.
